Baby Nelson on 3D.

This is so cool!! I had to go to the hospital to get a level 2 ultrasound to make sure that my amniotic fluid was ok and that the baby's weight was ok . During this time the ultrasound tech gave us a 3D ultrasound ,it was the coolest thing we have ever seen. We could see exactly what he looked like. The baby is perfectly healthy and weighs a perfect weight ( almost 3lbs !) He is so beautiful!

Proud Homeowners!!!!

We closed on our house today!!!!!!!The house still needs a bit of love , but I thought that I would post the before pictures and then the after pictures when we are all done with what we have planned. The kitchen is getting wood floors(pergo), new appliances( there is no real usable appliances as of right now) new carpet in the family room , fresh paint and the bathroom upstairs is getting a new vanity. I can't wait to move in!!!

View from the front door

Our house!!

The kitchen. I can't wait to see the finished product!
The attached garage also connects to the kitchen .

The other view from the kitchen looking into the dinning room.

I have always wanted a separate dinning room and now we have one.

This view is looking at the living room from the front door.

This hallway leads to the bathroom and all 3 bedrooms.

The den and the wood burning fireplace. I love fireplaces. I can't wait to use this!!

This is the family room and off to the left is the bathroom and laundry room

This playground came with the house. Bonus!!! We have a quarter acre of land also. Dougie and Dolly are not going to know what to do with themselves!! They are going to have a great time with this yard as will we.

Another view of the house from the street . The house is a 1/2 block away from the Mississippi River!

The Bank Accepted Our Offer

On Wednesday of last week Drew , myself and our very patient realtor Kat went and looked at more houses to buy. We found one that we really liked so we put an offer on it that same day. That Friday the bank came back and counter offered our original offer so we countered back( we are pros at this game by now) . Today Kat called Drew and told him that the bank honored everything we asked for and they accepted our offer, which by the way was less than what they originally asked for :-) . Drew called me at work and asked if I was sitting down , he said that the bank just received a higher offer from another buyer so we are out, then he said just kidding we got the house. First I said "your a horrible person, but I love you". Drew's a great joker ...haha, not funny! I don't think that I could of handled another one of those disappointing phone calls. We signed the paper work and our closing date is Dec 9th. Now all we have to do is wait for is the inspector and the loan to process and the house is ours. I have always wanted a wood burning fireplace in my home so I really hope that everything is good with the inspection. This house seems pretty safe and sound. Can you believe this is the 3rd house that we have put an offer on ??? People say its a good time to buy a house, what they didn't tell you is that everyone wants your house ( Uggh!)

3 bedrooms all on the same level
2 baths
formal dining room
living room
family room w/wood burning fireplace
den
hardwood floors

God has truly blessed us this year and we are so grateful for all of his wonderful gifts.

My big brother is a Pug.

I ordered this outfit off a website and just got it today! I can't wait for the baby to meet his big brother and big sister. I'm sure all three will get along just fine. There will be a lot of wet kisses to go around in our house in a few months. I have been baby clothes shopping like crazy lately. Marshalls is the place to be ... I found Calvin Klein, Polo , Carters and DKNY baby clothes ! They are so dang cute I can wait to dress him up.

Baby Nelson at 20-23 weks

I'm pretty sure he's waving "hello"

So these are the feet that keep me up at night?

and the fist..........

I'm convinced it looks like he's praying
"Thank you God for creating me "

I might be bias, but I think he's the cutest little fetus ever. I just want to kiss his sweet little nose .

Here are some more pictures of our little boy. He is now 11 inches long and 1 pound thus far. Today we had our fetal survey and everything looks great. The baby has chubby cheeks which means he's healthy according to the tech !!!! I can feel him kick all the time and boy is he getting stronger and stronger everyday . He seems to be on a schedule already . He kicks at 9:00 am, 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm . I'm not sure what that means exactly, but it's a reassuring feeling to me knowing that he is active and moving. Drew has yet to feel him kick. Every time Drew puts his hand on my belly the baby stops kicking and as soon as he takes his hand off the baby kicks again. Drew is convinced that the baby knows that its "daddy's hand" and hes just playing a game with him. I can feel him kick from both inside and out and even see my belly move when he does( it's good to be the mommy!!!, after the first 4 months)

P.S We are still patiently waiting for the people to get back to us about the house. This waiting game is killing us ! We only have so much time to wait, either way this baby is coming whether we have a house or not. We just pray that God will make this decision for us pretty soon.

Ok, so I'm a day late . Better late than never right...
Yesterday Drew and I went and looked at some houses in our area. All of the houses that we liked and wanted to put an offer on sold the next day. What a bummer huh?? We also went out to dinner and then home to watch Monday Night Football. That was a great game by the way!!

This weekend we went up to the cabin . Which was fun, but not the best idea cause we both ended up sick. I'm a bit worse than Drew , big surprise there !!

On Friday we drove up to the cabin only to return home to retrieve the cabin key that we left in Drew's car lol. It was a chilly one on Friday night. We had heaters all over the place ,but somehow we still ended up with a cold.Ugggh! Last year it was about 90 degrees and this year it was like 40 degrees. Welcome to Minnesota , right! Saturday night was fun, we had some friends come to the cabin with there dogs and kids. It was much warmer and we had a fire , roasted marshmallows and played board games. All in all it was a fun weekend.

Happy Anniversary My Love . I love you so much!

I will post some pictures of the wedding later when I get some more free time .

Baby BOY Nelson at 18 weeks.

Today was our 18 week ultrasound and check up. Every thing looks great and we found out for sure that it's a boy. He was pretty comfortable showing us what he had today. We also saw him moving his mouth like he was trying to tell us "hello" mom and dad!!!! That was pretty cool to see. We could also see his fingers move by his head as if he was waving hi too.
Stay safe in there and
we love you little one !

House Hunting Time

Not only is expecting a baby one of the most exciting times in our life, but buying our first house is right up there with it. Yesterday we were pre- approved to buy a house and we are so excited!!!! We have been looking on line for house , but now we actually get to go see them in person. We have a realtor who we will be meeting with this week to look at about 15 houses that we like in the Ramsey County area. Our lease for our apartment is up in December and we would like to be in our own place by Christmas this year. I can't wait to get the nusery ready for the baby!!!!! I haven't bought anything for the baby yet because we just don't have the room for anything elce. I'm sure as soon as I know when we are moving I'll have a little baby shopping spree. Yeah for us !!!!!

80% sure it's a Boy !!!!!

OK , so yesterday I told my mom what the technician told us about the baby because I had to tell someone . Today I called her in the hospital and told her not to tell anyone and she said "too late"ha ha. She said that she was too excited , and just like me couldn't keep it to self. Bless her heart ...shes in a full body cast calling people and telling them , I just love her !. By the way she is recovering well. She has a 7 inch incision on her belly and can't move very well though. Other than that she is in good hands at the Wood Winds Hospital in Woodbury. That hospital is the nicest hospital I have ever been in . They have a baby grand piano playing in the lobby,a fire place lit and it doesn't smell like a hospital. It was a good experience for me and I was only there for an hour lol.
Thank you to evryone who said prayers for my mother too. It was and is much appreciated!!!

So all in all if the 80% does prevail and it is for sure a boy then we have a great name picked out ... Dougie #2 (just kidding ).. Although Dougie was our" first son "we wouldn't do that to our little one . I kid kid ....

Baby Nelson at 16 weeks

Today we had another ultrasound and the baby had another photo session as you can see. I have to go to the doctor every 2 weeks until 24 weeks .From 12-24 weeks I go every two weeks, and from 24 to 35 weeks it's every week .At 35 weeks to 40 weeks I'm not actually sure yet ????. That's almost 15 visits to the doctors!!!!WOW! Its OK with me as long as they don't want to take my blood (then we might have problems lol). The reason I have so many ultrasounds is because I had Leap operation when I was 19 yrs old. A Leap operation is designed to remove cancer cells that one has on their cervix. At the time of the surgery they actually have to remove a part of my cervix to get rid of all of the potential cancer cells. They do these ultrasounds to determine how long my cervix is . If my cervix begins to shorten then I will have to have a spinal block and a cervical cerclage (a stitch). This stitch will have to stay in until the baby is born . GOD had blessed me with an adequate cervical length so far, and I pray it stays that way............Cause I really dislike needles.
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

We also think that we know the sex of the baby (80% sure). The tech told us today cause she got a good shot of the little one (not shy by the way). She told us not to go out and buy all _____ stuff cause she wants to be 100% sure. Stay tuned and we should know in 2 weeks !!! I can barley contain myself!!!!

Go Vikings!!!

Today, Drew and I went to our first Vikings game together.Yeah!!! We had lots of fun cheering the Vikings on with the rest of the 30,000 fans. We have the Vikings on our Fantasy Football League for our defence . They earned us 10pts today so that was fun to watch and cheer for the defence. The weather wasn't very cooperative when we were leaving ,but we managed to run back to the car (which felt like miles away) in the rain . We left a bit early to avoid all the traffic and made it home just in time to see The Purple People Eaters loose to the Colts . Bummer!!

Goodbye 1st Trimester Hello 2nd

I'm officially out of my first trimester and looking forward to my second. I still feel sick throughout the day , but its getting better and better everyday. I'm excited to start seeing a baby bump soon because it will feel even more real to Drew and I . We have already been looking through baby name books . Drew is very opinionated when it comes to names and so am I . I can tell you one thing for sure ,whatever name this baby gets will be well thought out . This is a very exciting time for us and I'm glad that we have this blog spot to share !!!!
I'm still trying to get a hang of this blogging business so bare with me .xoxoxoxo

Look at our sweet 14 week old baby !!!!

Today was an amazing day for Drew and I because we had pleasure of meeting our baby. It was the first time that the baby looked like a baby and not just a dark sac. The technician kept refering to the baby as "she", Drew and I picked up on that right away. We won't know for a few more weeks the gender of the baby, but we like to dream. Drew and I each have our own hypothesis about that though!!!!!
