Wayfarer

I LOVE the 80's!
I love everything about the 80's..the music, the movies, the fads, the clothes..I lied, not the clothes but everything else. The Wayfarer glasses were HUGE in the 80's. Most of the glasses were flip top and neon. I thought I would play it safe and get the black ones. A lot of the 80's styles are coming back in a 2010 way.
I want to do an ode to the years 1981 & 1983 on here. These are the years that Drew and I were born, but for now here's some pictures.

Baby & I in Duluth

Drew and I planned a trip to Duluth just to have a night alone to ourselves. We haven't been anywhere since our honeymoon and I get pretty restless and need to just go sometimes. I know that's hard to do with a baby now but Jane & Bruce ( Drew's mom and dad) were able to stay at our house over night with E. Our original plans were to go Whitewater rafting, but it got canceled due to SNOW. Yes SNOW in May .. only in Minnesota right. Actually that was the only icky icky day so far this month and we got "stuck" with it . We still had a good time anyways. We got our tattoos which I posted previously and after that we just hung out and enjoyed each others company!

There was a shop there called Monkey Business and I wanted to go in, but everything was closed! It was only like 6:00pm and the whole town seemed like it shut down. I'm not sure if it was because of the blizzard like weather or if it was normal. Next time though, right!
There is a picture in the college above of Little Angie's...BEST margaritas I have ever had!

There was this "side car" that I thought was so cool. It reminded me of my Grandpa Tony who is no longer with us , but he used to do carnival things like this. My cousin and I used to go into his carnival trailers and raid it. As little kids that was so fun for us to do . My grandpa had a Mini Doughnut stand as well as a game type stand. I ended taking so many stuffed animals and trinkets from his stands. I wonder what he would think of me and my family now? He met Drew once and really liked him...my grandfather was very stern and didn't like anyone, haha. So I guess I got his approval. He always treated me different than the rest of my family. I couldn't EVER do any wrong, was his little girl and always got an extra 5 bucks shoved into my back pocket when no one was lookin. Actually I'm the only granddaughter on either side of my family..hmmm can you say special..jk!

We ate at Grandmas, which was Ok. I've been to the Grandmas in Minneapolis so I knew what it was all about . Neat atmosphere!
Drew was acting goofy and was riding the little kid motorcycle. The thing I love about Drew and I is that we don't care what people think...if were goofy in public, if we get tattoos, if we want our baby to have long hair, if we have an unconventional way of raising our child, if we go out and have a good time with our friends. Pretty much anything we do is for fun, our family and each other. Plus, Drew and I make each other laugh so hard sometimes we literally cannot breath. I love EVERY SECOND of those times! Sure we aren't perfect and have our disagreements, but always figure it out and laugh about it later.

The windows at Grandma's were so puurrty!

Just a fun picture!

The view from our hotel room was beautiful. We had a balcony that was unusable because it was cold, windy and of course snowing, but at least we could look.

I haven't been to Tobies since middle school on a field trip to Two Harbors. This place is so yummy! I highly suggest the Carmel Rolls with the pecans. I had to break my healthy eating habits for 1 day right?

The artist asked me if I would take some close up shots of him using this gage because its SO big and he rarely gets to use it. So I hope he likes what I got.

I seriously love tattoo shops with all the sounds, colors, art and unique people. It's fun just to sit there and take in your surroundings.

Photobucket
I truly don't mind the pain of the tattoo process, its a day after that it feels like a BAD sunburn.

Photobucket

Before.
When I was 16...yes I said 16 . My best friend Crista and I thought it was a cool idea to give each other tattoos with a serile sewing needle with thread wrapped around it and Indian Ink. What a bunch of silly girls we were huh? She gave me this beautiful sun ... not !And I gave her the ugliest tattoo ( I tried though ) of a cross. Well 11yrs later I finally fixed it.
Photobucket
After.
The largest star represents Drew.
The medium star represents me.
The smallest star represents Ethan.
Then I will add on as our family grows.
I love tattoos..always have . I think they are beautiful and unique. Might sound crazy to others but hey that's just me! If I could I would have a complete sleeve, but for now I'll play it "safe".

Josh, our tattoo artist has 5 kiddos!!! WOW!
