Dear Ethan

Dear Ethan,
You are 10 months old today. You are the perfect age now, I just love it. Your so much fun to play with. I love watching you learn and grow. You have started to associate your words with objects like mom mom and dada! At your doctors appointment today you weighed 21lbs and were 28 3/4 inches long. You also flirted with all the ladies at the doctors office which reminded me not to let daddy take you anywhere anymore :) Your a chick magnet!!! You love bath time, splashing and "talking" to your bath toys.






You have started to understand a bit more of the sign language that we are teaching you especially "EAT". Crackers, teething biscuits, yogurt bites, cheese, squash, carrots and sweet potatoes are your fav! The doctor commented that you were a bit orange from all the orange foods you've been eating :) She said it was great that you liked your veggies and no harm has been done .Then when we went to the lab to get your blood taken the phlebotomist said you looked tan hahah.. too funny.




You love playing with toys that have string. Like this old skool phone that Mimi gave you for Christmas . You like buttons on shirts, necklaces and any strings on our shirts usually end up with your DNA all over it . I still love it :)



You love to SCREEEAAMMM at the top of your lungs when your excited. You are very very vocal, smiley and animated. Which I don't understand because both of your parents are very shy ...( haha yeah right!) You just cut all four of your eye teeth so now you have 6 big boy teeth, which is beyond cute.




You can crawl at what seems the speed of light. When we let you on the floor you are gone. Usually you crawl toward the light sockets or the Christmas Tree. You have a special ornament on each tree we have that you crawl too immediately. Ill save these for you :)



You have just started to stand freely these last two weeks as well as walk with a toy. Santa gave you a fun walker for Christmas and you LOVE it. Good job Santa! You like to wave to yourself in the mirror and we just love it because we taught you that. You do this silly thing when your in your stroller...you sit with your feet propped up on the tray as if to say " This is my lazy boy" all you need to do now is learn how to relax with your hands behind your head. You get that from your father.




You love music..especially the Beatles and 80's music :D You love to bounce when music is on and get excited when mommy and daddy clap for you. You giggle like no ones business and laugh at everything . I love when you just randomly laugh , it makes me laugh. You love when mommy gives you zerburts on your cheeks because you know its your turn to give one back. Your almost a pro at them now.You love when daddy gives you a nap because no one elce seems to do it quite like him.




You just learned how to take your winter hat off along with your shoes which makes mommy a bit unhappy. People are going to think that I don't know how to dress you. You sleep well at night and always get up at 6:00am NO MATTER WHAT!! The early bird catches the worm I guess. I'm also pretty sure you know what a camera is because you smile at it when I take it out. You are so snugly hugely and I don't want you to get any bigger.



We love that your a mini explorer trying to discover your world. We are learning with you and its such a blessing to be your mommy and daddy








This is a progression of Ethan with my childhood teddy bear. I'll still be asking him to hold this bear for the next 18 years. I'm sure he wont be too happy about that one but,.... how does it go..
